“Megan helped lift me out of the darkness I was feeling during my postpartum journey when I was diagnosed with a condition that affects my mood and hormones. It was healing to have someone really hear me. Megan holds an incredible space, which allowed me to feel supported. I felt safe to be vulnerable. I feel fortunate to have been able to share from a place removed from shame while being advised in a very non-judgmental, but practical and uplifting way. She is super-no-nonsense, practical, solid, funny and really to the point. Megan removes the veil from your own disillusionment of failure and self-defeat.”

“I had the good fortune of connecting with Megan May through Aquarian Women’s Leadership Society over the summer...Not long after meeting Megan I got news a dear friend of mine had died and there would be no funeral or service. I felt no way to really grieve... I knew Megan could help... She created a ritual of healing for me, extraordinary and profound. I mourned in a very deep and personal way, guided by Megan as she wove elements of counseling and therapy into ancient ritual. Megan is very good at what she does!! She brings her full & highest self to her work. Sisters, should you need a rite or ritual just for you, may I recommend reaching out to Megan.”

Meg brings not only her psycho-spiritual wisdom, but also her real life experience and understanding of what a professional creative career entails. For an aspiring creative, this perspective is invaluable. A path that is overwhelming and provocative with regards to one’s inner demons is magically (read: systematic and relatable) broken down into doable, bite-size daily practices. Meg taught me how to support myself in my creative path, by showing up with courage, compassion, and readiness to celebrate ALL the victories, no matter how small. Creative projects I envisioned, but could not contextualize were articulated into a professional framework that not only helped me understand what I was trying to say or achieve artistically, but also helped me understand that my perspective is important. Meg helped me realize that my identity as an artist is not only necessary for myself, but important to the larger conversations in the current socio-political landscape. That is perhaps one of the more impacting gifts from Meg: her deep belief in my creative vision, and active encouragement for me to live into it. Meg gently, but firmly worked with me to outline specific actionables. Having the support + accountability combo was important for me as I learned to develop my own resources for discipline. It’s been a few months since we completed our 3 month journey together. I am constantly integrating and deepening the lessons of self-care, compassion for self and other, and boundaried acts of self-love. I’m also actively exploring my art, catching myself when the negative self-talk starts, celebrating the mini victories, and giving myself permission to go my own pace. It is thanks to Meg and her compassionate, informed guidance that I can say (with tingles) “Why yes, I am an artist!”
